Michael D’Onofrio serves as the Managing Director and Chief Products Officer of Engineered Tax and also sits on the Executive Board. He has had a successful career in finance, M&A, real estate development, and energy consulting, founding numerous successful companies and bringing strong business acumen to the organization.
Michael focuses on regional and national client development, relationship management, and strategic direction. A frequent featured speaker and professional educator for CPAs, real estate investors and family offices with a focus on Federal, State and Local tax incentives, cost segregation studies and R&D tax credits to help companies, property owners and top accounting firms across the country benefit from under-utilized tax strategies to maximize investments and increase cash flow.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Michael relocated to Palm Beach, Florida and now resides with his family in Charlotte, North Carolina. His strong business drive has added professionalism, consistency, innovative strategic partnerships, and significant growth to the company as he guides clients toward increased success identifying opportunities for tax mitigation, income generation and wealth preservation.
Michael’s early career was in private equity, mergers and acquisitions within the real estate, energy and technology industries. This diverse background allowed Michael to quickly understand, integrate and expand the services offered by ETS as they integrate with CPA’s, business owners, and property investors nationally.
Michael obtained his MBA at Nova Southeastern University’s Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ft. Lauderdale FL after undergraduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland OH. Michael has been professionally licensed in real estate brokerage, mortgage lending and insurance. Michael works out of Charlotte NC and Palm Beach FL.
Michael has founded numerous successful companies and is a valued member of the leadership team. He has also launched new service lines in specialty tax, insurance and advisory consulting, while also mentored many ETS team members to achieve similar success in their careers.
