Positive Steps for the Roosevelt Elementary Reading Buddies Program

This past Friday, ETS staff members read to the children at Roosevelt Elementary School as a part of doing something positive for both the kids and the community.

ETS has brainstormed, created, and nurtured something that today, has resulted in over 40 adult volunteers showing up for the Roosevelt Rockets Reading Buddies program! One year ago, that number was only four. That is more than two full classrooms totally owned by community visionaries committed to making the world a better place.

We anticipate that by the end of this school year we will have 98 adult volunteers reading with 98 first graders, a complete takeover of an entire grade at Roosevelt.

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to the teachers, staff, Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, the Omegas, and various other groups, including my fellow employees at Engineered Tax Services, the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Am (Jupiter), The Morris Law Group, Templeton Investments, and Ultima Fitness Downtown…and of course, THANK YOU to the incredible, worthy, awesome, fun first graders!
