Roosevelt Rockets Mural Painting Project

School District of Palm Beach – Roosevelt Elementary

In honor of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, the staff of Engineered Tax Services (ETS) decided to do something positive each month to help the children at Roosevelt Elementary School, located near our headquarters office in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Following a collection of the most needed items from staff and friends, we started a monthly Roosevelt Rockets Reading Buddies’ program where ETS employees and friends donated their lunch-hour and read with first graders.

Meanwhile, during the summer break we wanted to do something BIG and visual to start off the new school year for the kids! The idea of creating murals at Roosevelt Elementary began to grow and thanks to CEO, Julio Gonzalez and wife, Leslie, this project has been made possible. This Saturday, ETS faculty and friends will be working with local artist, Eduardo Mendieta, to bring to life three separate murals.

Roosevelt Elementary School Principal, Dr. Glenda Garrett shares: “This is a wonderful gift from the business and volunteer community to our school’s children. I am positive it will raise the children and staff’s spirits and make them excited every day to enter school ready to learn and ready to grow!”
